Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization in Upper Manhattan, is seeking an energetic, resourceful, and highly organized Office Assistant to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing day-to-day administrative support while also assisting with marketing and communications initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a mature, dependable self-starter with excellent judgment, strong writing and communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day-to-day administrative and office support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Manage multiple administrative tasks, projects, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare professional correspondence, announcements, and organizational communications.

Create, design, and distribute mass email campaigns and announcements using Mailchimp.

Update and maintain website content through WordPress, ensuring information is accurate and current.

Assist with social media management, including creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content.

Design promotional materials, graphics, flyers, and digital communications using Canva.

Support marketing and communications initiatives, including email campaigns, website updates, event promotions, and digital content.

Provide professional, responsive customer service and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.

Maintain organized records, materials, and administrative workflows while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-through.
REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of administrative or office support experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar, punctuation, editing, and proofreading abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

Mailchimp proficiency required, including experience creating, designing, and sending mass email campaigns.

WordPress proficiency required, including experience updating and managing website content.

Experience using Canva to create marketing and promotional materials.

Experience managing social media accounts and developing engaging content.

Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Mature, resourceful, proactive, and dependable, with excellent judgment and a positive attitude.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Experience working in a nonprofit, community-based, or mission-driven organization is a plus.
SALARY

$20-27 per hour
