Executive Assistant to Senior Executive for longstanding Non-Profit

Our client, a longstanding nonprofit institution in Manhattan, is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to a senior executive. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, proactive administrative professional who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This individual will serve as a trusted partner, managing complex administrative responsibilities while exercising the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

This is a full-time, fully onsite position in Manhattan. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required. A catered lunch is provided daily.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to a senior executive
  • Draft, edit, and type professional and personal correspondence from dictation and notes
  • Manage a complex calendar, appointments, and scheduling
  • Serve as a primary point of contact internally and externally
  • Organize and maintain confidential paper and electronic files
  • Assist with updates to internal and external communications
  • Coordinate with media contacts and external partners as needed
  • Welcome and coordinate meetings with VIP visitors and guests
  • Support event planning and special projects
  • Assist with additional administrative responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years supporting a senior executive
  • Typing speed of 90+ WPM with high accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional, polished, and service-oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively
Preferred
  • Experience with WordPress or Mailchimp
  • Social media experience
Compensation: Starting at $55,000 plus benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (fully onsite)  , with occasional weekend responses
