Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a highly strategic Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff–type professional to support the CEO. This is a critical, high-impact role for someone who operates with precision and strong judgment, serving as a true extension of the executive. The position sits at the intersection of administrative excellence and strategic execution, requiring someone who brings structure, clarity, and rigor to a complex and fast-moving environment.
This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role. The CEO is looking for someone highly anticipatory, concise, and analytical—someone who understands not just how to manage a calendar, but why meetings matter, how they connect, and what should be prioritized. The right candidate will act as a true thought partner, working closely with the CEO to drive focus, streamline decision-making, and ensure time and attention are allocated effectively. This role requires a composed, detail-oriented individual who can synthesize information quickly, connect dots across conversations, and operate with a high degree of ownership and discretion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic, high-level support to the CEO, operating as a true right hand
- Own and manage a complex calendar with a focus on priorities, sequencing, and outcomes—not just logistics
- Evaluate meeting requests and proactively prioritize based on business impact
- Prepare concise briefings, materials, and summaries to support decision-making
- Track key initiatives, ensuring follow-ups, accountability, and execution across workstreams
- Connect information across meetings and stakeholders to provide clarity and continuity
- Anticipate needs and proactively address gaps in information, scheduling, and priorities
- Serve as a point of coordination across internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
- Bring structure and organization to the CEO’s day-to-day operations
- Maintain strict confidentiality and operate with sound judgment at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives, ideally in a strategic EA or EA/COS capacity
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize and prioritize complex information
- Highly detail-oriented with a precise and structured working style
- Strong judgment and the confidence to push on priorities when needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; concise and thoughtful in approach
- Ability to operate independently and with a high degree of ownership
- Experience in financial services or a similarly rigorous environment strongly preferred
- Professional, low-ego, and team-oriented with a focus on outcomes over optics
HOURS:
8:00am–5:00/5:30pm + 24/7 availability as needed (executive is respectful of the assistant’s time)
SALARY:
$150K–$250K base (DOE) + generous discretionary bonus + 100% covered health, dental, and vision + 401(k) with 4% match + unlimited PTO + additional comprehensive benefits
