Our client, a community of food entrepreneurs, located in Long Island City, is looking for an Assistant. The successful candidate will provide support to the Co-Founder. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, a great multitasker and able to manage up. They will possess strong verbal and communication skills, be resourceful, flexible, with an incredibly warm disposition. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and partner with a top executive at a quickly growing company.
This role is in the office 5x a week for the first 6 months, and then 4x a week in the office thereafter.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and coordinate meetings internally and externally
- Coordinate travel arrangements when needed
- Assist with event coordination and execution
- Maintain schedules and heavy calendars
- Prepare and submit expenses reports
- Screen and forward calls, provide information, take messages
- Make dining reservations
- Help streamline communication and strategize planning
- Assist with preparation of presentation materials
- Relationship management
- Time management
- Ad hoc projects as requested
REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7+ years of prior administrative support or related experience
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of administrative procedures
- Detail-oriented, exceptionally organized and punctual
- Ability and willingness to take initiative
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be dependable, hold confidentiality and possess discretion
- Ability to work well independently
- A flexible and positive approach to the job is a must!
- Proactive and enthusiastic, demonstrating an eagerness to learn and help the team
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating an ease with internal and external contacts
SALARY
$85-$100K on a base (DOE) + discretionary bonus opportunity + benefits
HOURS
Monday – Friday, 9/9:30am – 5/5:30pm + Flexibility if needed
